Who is right for health coaching?
Health Coaching is for you if you are serious about taking charge of your own health and wellbeing. Do you need a little inspiration and a lot of accountability for looking after your own wellbeing needs? Are willing to be coached? Are serious about investing in your own personal health and wellbeing? If so then health coaching is for you.
What does health coaching involve?
You’ll receive deep coaching sessions to work through the health, wellbeing and life issues most important to you. You’ll also receive feedback and tailored plans and training on the areas that you want to improve. Choose from group coaching or one to one – there’s an option to suit all budgets and preferences.
Why choose Ally as your personal health coach?
Ally has a deep scientific training, including health coach training from PreKure, one of the world’s foremost health coaching schools. Ally was ill as a child. He was plagued by autoimmune problems which required surgery twice. He had other physical and mental health issues that just wouldn’t go away. This carried on into adulthood, and came to a head when Ally was studying for a PhD in physics. His supervisor Professor Ken Strain had healed his own chronic fatigue syndrome / M.E. by changing what he ate, and was able to point Ally in the right direction. He dived into the research and decided to try a paleo low carbohydrate diet. His health problems melted away over the next few weeks and months, and kept improving. Ally at that point decided to move away from his career in physics, and instead to dedicate himself to helping people find the same health revolution he found. Ally has hosted The Canteen Podcast for over two years, and has talked for hundreds of hours with world-leading experts on what causes people to be overweight and feel unmotivated. His knowledge on using food and lifestyle to be healthier and happier is deep, and he can’t wait to help you find your own path to health and happiness.
Where and when are the coaching sessions held?
For one to one coaching, you and Ally will agree a time and day that suits you. Typically sessions are 45 minutes in length and are held weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on the plan you select. Typically our coaching is delivered online via a secure video link up, however depending on your location we can offer onsite one to one sessions as well. Clients receive 24/7 text and messenger support for those moments when you need it most. Special a la carte options can be provided, such as walking round the supermarket with you, or helping to clear out your cupboards of detrimental foods. For group coaching, sessions last an hour so that everyone gets the support they need. All group sessions are held securely online.
I’m worried about the technology, like using a video link-up? I feel like I got left behind in the 80s and haven’t done much online before.
You’ll be absolutely fine! We’ve had so many before you worried about this too! The platform we use to deliver our courses is really easy to use and we will help you every step of the way. You do need internet access. Remember we have a no questions money back policy. Try it for the first session risk-free (applies only to the Advanced and Ultimate packages – one off sessions and bespoke services are non-refundable). If you find it’s not for you, you can cancel anytime within the first fortnight and we’ll refund you, minus the cost of the cookbooks and meal plan. No questions asked.
Will I see a return on my investment?

I already have a personal trainer and/or gym membership, why do I need a health coach?
Working with a personal health coach allows you to fully explore your health and wellbeing in all its facets, not just fitness. You can share your doubts and goals openly in ways that are sometimes hard to achieve with your friends and/or spouse.
Are coaching sessions confidential?
Of course. What you discuss in a session is just between you and your coach. Group sessions are a safe and confidential space.

Initially I thought it would just be about food and advice to tailor my eating habits, checking the scales and taking waist measurements. It is no exaggeration to say that the time I have spent with Ally has been nothing short of all round transformative. Through gentle probing questions his deft response to a myriad of emotions that suddenly surfaced and poured out, Ally helped me to set realistic goals and make concrete plans to work towards them. Some big, some small, all of which he treated with genuine curiosity and respect.
Fitting in the dress was one of them, but so too were getting to the root of the reasons why I wasn’t able to swish about in it. I came to Ally because I had skin issues with eczema, very flared and covering much of my body. Working with Ally gave me 80% reduction in symptoms, less need for use of steroid creams, and a confidence rebound due to much clearer skin. I also have much improved sleep as I’m not being woken by itchy skin.
I would have started health coaching sooner, but for the fear of “not being allowed” certain foods and drinks, and feeling that I would have to live by a very strict set of nutritional rules. Working with Ally has changed me in a number of ways.
I started in February slightly nervous having never done anything like this before, but I very quickly felt safe and confident I was in good hands.
Before I started with him I struggled with moderation and occasional binges. I felt I needed someone to keep me accountable. I was also attracted to Ally’s approach to nutrition and his how his science background backed it up.
I had concerns that I wouldn’t last. However having read some other people testimonies I dived in. Ally really got to the bottom of what was holding me back with my diet and lifestyle choices. This helped massively in finding exactly what my motivation was above the normal health and aesthetic goals.
I could notice the difference on my energy levels throughout my days increase straight away on my new plan. Within 2 weeks my skin became clearer, I really began to feel I was on the right path.
My training in the gym which is regular anyway, was my another concern but any changes were all positive. Within a couple months I was leaner than I’d been in years, and performed just as well with strength, and conditioning training as I had on a high carb diet.
